A version of this image (which is also used here for my header logo for this blog) is being offered through Mozilla as a browser "skin" - - you can dress up your browser window (provided that you use Firefox)with the image. It is titled "Weems Ocean" in the Mozilla skins index.
It had been successful during the summer catching bugs, but it seemed to have overdone it (or got over-watered being outside) and the leaves all blackened up and fell away. These are all new leaves coming forth. It could be that the old leaves had simply outlived their usefulness, Flytraps will shed them after they've had a few catches with them.
The walls of the Shady Grove Church building. Photo from 2008 - - building was in the process of being pulled down and the blocks sold off, I surmised, from seeing the palettes of stones neatly stacked and set up near the roadway. The long defunct church has beautiful stonework.
Shady Grove Cemetery in Carroll County Arkansas. The way the County is laid out, this cemetery falls roughly halfway in between the towns of Berryville and Eureka Springs. Shady Grove Cemetery is well out into the rural countryside near the now defunct (and the stone walls being removed, may in fact all be gone by now) Shady Grove Church.
